FNM: Arkham Horror

Postby Trin » September 2nd, 2008, 8:40 pm

Hey, this is McLovin's sister here. :P Just got back from Dragon*Con with McLovin and TAT and I picked up a game to play. It's called Arkham Horror and is probably one of the best board games I've played. It's completely cooperative. "Only one small band of investigators can save Arkham from the Great Old Ones and destruction!"

Here are the rules: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/PDF/A ... ternat.pdf
And the rules for the first expansion: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/PDF/D ... nglish.pdf

I think I saw this when I was researching Dust, and thought it looked interesting.

Trin was explaining it to me, and it sounds like a very intreseting game to play. It might be a nice change of pace from trying to screw each other over in a game.

Intreseting? Is that good?

I also thought the cooperative game play sounded kind of cool, although the concept seemed somewhat D&D. We'd find some way to make a co-op game competitive though! haha.

Make something competitive...who us? Why would you think that?

We would never be competitive with each other. We work very well as a team and would never dream of trying to screw someone over.

If you even expect to win the game, you will want to work together. There is one way you can work against everyone, though. It doesn't show up very often, but it's there.
